  29. I agree with you on the police report. This indicates to me either incompetence on the reporting officer's part or vagueness to not embarrass those involved (common in many small towns). You are correct, and offering a fine presentation, by indicating this news report leaves far more questions and implications than absolute answers. If I were the woman's family I would insist on a deeper investigation.

My guess, from first hand experience, this may be skipped in part by MSM is because it occured in a small town. I'm with you on the lack of coverage. Back in my day (darn, had to say it again) this would be front page for a week.

I think getting married when we were of more mature ages was an advantage. She has stood with me all the way. Like you and your wife she is 65 and I'm pushing to my 70th year. We both still think we are 20 when it comes to the enjoyment factor, and mature enough not to be stupid. Now, let's go be a blessing.

  49. Those not at a minimum wage job, even if yours is $16 after working five years at the same position, sure will not see a pay increase. I agree with with your first caller, Bill, on tax structure and revenue. Additionally, small business owners who cannot increase payroll and employer taxes, etc. will be cutting jobs. Meaning the ones without the new minimum wage will be out of work.
