It looks like the elephant was more confused than aggressive tbh (doesn't seem to be un musth). A full-on aggressive elephant would have its trunk curled, its ears pinned back, and it definitely would do way more damage.
150
They would do that to any other predator they kill.
68
@Crocutaalpha Ripped who's face open lol? Quit overexaggerating. They bit the lion. The Lion felt pain and let go. The end.
47
""It's not about killing, it's about sending a message" - 🦁" -People trying to redeem lions when they fail.
35
They were laughing at a conversation they were having. Also, what do you want them to do? Cry? Neither laughing nor crying would change the fate of that buffalo.
28
@stingwcw Painted wolf eat your baby?
27
@droid6759 Smell is an important part of stealth. There's no use being invisible if what you're hiding from can follow your Smell.
23
I'd much rather have the crocs eat me immediately than suffer and get eaten when the damage has been done.
23
@eternalbeing3339 A lion weighs 8 times as much as a dog, and there are only 4 dogs. It would be too risky for them. If there were 10, they would definitely try even harder.
22
The title never stated that it wasn't killed.
22
These man made watering holes really need to be designed better. I've seen at least 2 animals get stuck in them and be unable to get out. Thus rhino's situation is particularly bad because there's no way any animal is going to be able to grab its corpse and drag it out, leaving it to rot and pollute a common water source for a lot of animals.
18
@thaiylooze8217 Stop trying to defend the lions. A pride that size would want to kill any other predator. They couldn't catch up to the hyena. That is that.
17
@LionDominator My guy size doesn't mean anything. Also 300kg is only the size of a goliath. They don't even cross 250kg anymore and weigh about 190kg. Hyenas on the other hand, weigh 65kg on average, and largest one was 110kg. Pair that with the fact that clans can be over 80 and you have your predator.
14
@ashdog236 Well I saw no blood on the lion's face or pieces of flesh in any hyena's mouth. Oh and nips from hyenas like that aren't doing any bleed damage to a lion. It'a strong enough to crush a rhino's femur when they're not afraid of the femur fighting back.
14
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
14
@LionDominator Lions aren't kings. It's an oversized cat for crying out loud.
13
Let's be honest, mongoose, including meerkats ate truly the fiercest animals out there.
10
@Crocutaalpha Again, you give hyena lovers a bad rep. Any sane person knows that a hyena isn't winning against a male lion. Corky escaped with her life, an incredible feat, however she definitely didn't defeat that lion by biting his paw.
9
@alexanderbohm607 Elephants weigh way more than 1500-2000 lbs. That's about the size of a small hippo. Elephants actually weigh upwards of 5000kg, which is about 11,000 lbs.
9
You don't like a snake for trying to live?
9
@brandonsantoso It doesn't take as many balls if you're 4 times the size.
9
Yeah I totally agree. They should've gone into that pride of lions and wrestle all of them at the same time, while also denying them food, therefore dooming their cubs to die. /s
9
@raptormage2209 That lion is definitely not young. It looks at least 5 or 6 years old. At 4, they gain their full mane, and after that, the mane just darkens with age.
9
Honey badgers aren't mindlessly rabid and aggressive just for the fun of it. They act aggressive so that a predator deems them not worth fighting. In most videos showcasing them, they try to run away while facing the predator.
9
True. The only creatures that probably outmatch them are African Painted Wolves. They're basically just the mongoose but bigger. (Not related though, and they don't form swarms that move like one entity)
9
Bro it's a wild lion.
8
@LiarSlayer01-gb7en A three year old lion wouldn't have a full mane.
8
@rodneybryant6543 Yeah crying at a funeral doesn't change anything, but this is a wild animal that would gore you if given the chance. Laugh or no laugh some people also eat them, so they are nowhere near humans in terms of death impact. Really stupid how you would compare a bovine to an actual human.
8
@johnpohn3299 The calves do. And elephants do a better job protecting than buffalo.
8
@johnpohn3299 My guy in the video one buffalo managed to charge into the entire lion pride. If the entire herd did the same, nobody would've gotten picked off.
8
@SANCHIT18OCT I do
8
It's more like one of the few animals that can be bothered to take down a honey badger.
8
It's actually a blacked backed jackal.
7
Wanna know who's even more stoic? The hyenas. Only like 2 led the initial charge despite knowing the risks that came with it. It's kinda cringe how lions get the praise despite the hyenas obviously being the winners here, because in you guys' eyes, lions never lose.
7
Yeah. Elephants are basically just buffaloes but 10 times better
7
Antelope.
7
@dalibormlynek4197 Ah yes, the good old using different terminology to refer to the exact same action but on different animals.
7
You first sentence makes sense. The second one is kinda sappy.
7
@MaskOfCinder If hyenas actually got into real fights with lions, the lions would get decimated.
7
@hjlnbi So are you trying to say that a lone male lion would singlehandedly take out 10 or so hyenas if they all had the intent to kill? 10 isn't even the average pack size.
7
It really isn't.
7
@Crocutaalpha There's plenty of videos of lions killing hyenas.
6
@GeorgeFitness-yo8bl Sure thing buddy. Then why did the leopard run away? And why were there so many visible wounds on the leopard. Also I would love to see you take on these dogs. Lemme see who's weak.
6
Pretty much every endangered animal is a result of humans. These guys being threatened is due to being caught in snare traps, and they were also historically hunted in the masses. Also, habitat loss causes them to move further into the territory of larger predators namely, leopards, lions and rival packs (hyenas are also fully capable of taking them down if they catch one out in the open, but tend to be more after their kills than their pups).
6
@ultraspinalki11 Honey badgers are aggressive, not stupid. A lion will maul a honey badger 100% of the time if it wants to.
6
@hjlnbi I literally can't read what you just said
6
@LionDominator Lil bro said a lone lion can make elephants back off, lol 💀
6
The animals have no problem with safari vehicles.
6
@NotSlowAndStillSteady It is tho.
5
I wish he had attacked one of those packs with like 20 hyenas. Then the hyenss would have the courage to actually go for the kill and we would see who is the real king of the jungle.
