Rewrote Haitian constitution to allow USA permanent control over their resources 5. Placed US navy to make sure Haitian do not have power to rise . 6. Took over Haiti external finances so they can never pay or earn from anyone. 7. Killed over 3000 Haitian people for resisting US occupation . People were dragged from their homes by marines and placed in labour camps . 8. During Senate hearings , the commandant of the Marine Corps reported that, in the twenty months of active resistance, 2,250 Haitians had been killed.
