The athletes still have to play.

@abc-ke2wd they still have records to keep up. And a lot of them will not be able to wait for 4 more years
1
@abc-ke2wd if you say so. I believe it’s a benefit to the athletes to compete. There wouldn’t be any debate about who is the best or would have been the best and the city/country wouldn’t have to waste anymore money. But that’s just my opinion
1
@abc-ke2wd still the city will won’t just let all that money spent go to waste if they cancel it. And even if they postpone to keep it in tokyo for 2024 they will have to spend millions more.
1
@abc-ke2wd it’s not though. there’s already protests for having the games. You think people are just going to accept tax raises for something they don’t want in the first place?
1
@abc-ke2wd hahahaha you actually think protesting is what I’m talking about. No my child, if you knew about the IOC you would know that image is everything. If the IOC sees that majority of people don’t want the games in their country and they see that they won’t make any money, and that they need more money they need to make the games happen, the less they money they would make that’s bad image on them and they will take away those rights of hosting away. They’ve done it before. Bottom line is money just like everything in the world. Do you have any idea how much Japan is in debt already? raising taxes won’t do much So yes they will need to go forward with the games now
1
@abc-ke2wd debt and a struggling economy doesn’t care about your mood. Again, postponing the games will only make them drop deeper into debt and cancelling will have wasted all the money that they don’t have. Do you really think if taxing the people didn’t bring them out of debt before, that taxing them for even more money would help? Think deeper my child
1
@abc-ke2wd typical response when you can’t back up your argument. Reply back when you get a basic understanding of economics so you won’t continue to sound foolish

@abc-ke2wd for the third time, postponing is going to cost the country billions more. They are already in huge debt which is the reason they bid for the Olympics in the first place because it would have brought them out of it. But instead it’s putting them even billions more in debt for postponing. And you want them to Multiply that amount? Taxing people will not help when they are already spending money they don’t have. It’s not that hard to understand. Secondly, countries like Japan don’t stay developed as long as they have with the mind set that you have about not caring because the future generation will suffer, so don’t get your hopes up about postponing anything
1
@abc-ke2wd you just further proved how foolish you are. You’re very naive to think simply taxing the population brings people out of debt. You don’t even know the depth of the problems that actually causes. But I wouldn’t expect that much insight from someone who thinks it doesn’t matter what a government does because the future generation Will suffer and it wouldn’t be your problem. And yes I edited that comment.

@abc-ke2wd having more debt means absolutely nothing to a government or country???? Lol just go ahead and log off
1
@abc-ke2wd please just say you don’t know what you’re talking about and go. How old are you? just keep thinking printing bills and raising taxes will solve every problem. Its totally not going to send the country into a recession like it to did for past Olympics that were in the same exact situation and definitely not stop the population from paying their bills causing businesses to tank, ultimately sending the country on a path of mass poverty or anything. I’m sure being the country with the highest debt in the world already shouldn’t be a problem either right? Because debt doesn’t do anything in reality right? Lol It’s like talking to a toddler, which I’m sure you’re not too far from in age anyway.

@abc-ke2wd here’s something you also said, “yes the govt has the ability to print out unlimited amount of money and pay off the debt at any given moment” you have no idea how dumb you sound. well since you won’t research I’ll do it for you. https://youtu.be/jmmfT0JnvPc look in the mirror before you call someone an idiot.
