  4. Activism is necessary. Sure, it comes with a bunch of morons championing bullshit causes, but it’s also what keeps important things in check. Without activists the oceans would have no hope, the money machine would vacuum the sea floor until nothing remained. The ocean dies, we all die. Activism preserves rights, brings light to nasty acts, brings awareness of things that need change. You are confusing activism with social justice, which is the pastime of unemployed a$sholes.
