Women vote, but they're not voting with the same consequences in mind. They don't have to go die in a trench somewhere for the outcome of their ideals. When the consequences mean you end up charging at machine guns, you see things from a different angle.
When you see the men in your own society as the enemy, while being completely oblivious to the wolves at the door, you will eventually destroy your own house, and the door will no longer be there to protect you, neither will the men who guard it.
Women have been holding this door open for a long time now, while fighting the guards. The house is full of wolves, and the guards are disarmed, with knives in their back. Women believe this is a victory because they see the guards as the enemy, not the wolves.
Women suffer in war once all the men are dead.
