@joshorourke4985 Don’t like it, start your own business, put your own money in, work 140 hours a week for 5 years to get it off the ground, take all the risk, then you can decide if you want to alienate potential customers with your political activism. Otherwise, be thankful someone is giving you the chance to earn money, and keep your political ideology to yourself while you’re being paid by someone to represent their business.

@yogiine When she owns the business, she can decide if alienating it entail customers is in line with her company’s mission statement. Until then, you’re an employee, and it’s not your decision to alter your uniform to contain political messaging.

If you want to wear whatever you want at work, YOU should start your own business, pour 140 hours a week into it for a number of years, pour your money into it, take all the risks…. THEN you can decide if you’re happy with alienating potential customers with political activism, because it’s your money to lose. She doesn’t own qantas, it’s not up to her to enforce her political ideology and alienate customers through divisive political messaging. The entitlement required to believe you should be able to do whatever you want, is insane. You’re an employee.
