  2. It’s not even stupidity, it’s violence. The hard thing for people to swallow is when cops are the ones dealing out the violence to people who don’t deserve it. There is a long history of this, and people don’t forget.

I will never respect or back police, the truth is I get a chill down my spine when I see a cop car, immediate anxiety, (I don’t have any form of record that would cause this) but I know they need to exist and wouldn’t ask for defunding. I would ask for more accountability, and external investigation of officer misconduct, along with far more extensive psychological testing at point of entry, along with more extensive training. This would lead to less misconduct, and possibly begin to bridge the divide between the police and public.
