I don't consider that doing good for the community, if that is what you are classing as "volunteering", "volunteering" doesn't give you a salary. If you volunteer outside of that, what is is you do? It cannot be a direct benefit to you if you want to claim virtue over others for doing it. What are you using your voice to spread, is it awareness of contentious topics? Are you stopping people getting to work to tell them "oil is bad"? A lot of people are so self righteous they believe themselves to be doing good when a large majority don't agree with them. If a father works 100 hours a week to shelter, feed and clothe his family, do you look down on him for not "doing anything for the environment"? Is he "selfish" because he's not actively supporting what you think is important?

We have these same taxes in my I3 ft run country, yet we are responsible for less than 1% of global emissions. It doesn’t matter what we do when they’re burning tires elsewhere.

I had no issue with gay marriage, but that led to where we are now, with men competing in womens sport, so I can't vote that way again, I have to take the opposing stance to anything from that side of the fence, even if I don't take issue with it, because it will just lead to extremes.

You're not looking for asylum, or you would have taken it at the first available point. You literally cannot seek asylum from the Mexican border, you're already in a country capable of providing it.

My family owned a lot of land and businesses in Coventry before WW2, they all got bombed into the ground, the men died, the women scattered, the children were sent away and suffered, all to stop that regime.
