The most important thing to remember here is ‘white’ people are all the same, and can be defined as such… there is no difference between a Russian, a Ukrainian, a Scot, an Aussie.. all just cultureless ‘whites’, each one less cultured than the last, all identical, all privileged, none ever experienced a single second of hardship, but mainly just the men.
In the spirit of having 2 sides, we must now form an alliance against generic ‘whites’ and as such, we will disregard the cultural differences of say, Japanese and Indonesians, and just place them all under the banner of ‘POC’, because this isn’t in any way disrespectful either.

@derpy alien
Every action, equal and opposite reaction. This movement to make movies into virtue lectures has infected our entertainment to the point I literally don’t bother anymore. My entertainment from that industry I used to love and spend money on, is now satisfied by laughing at the drinker having a go.
Some people like me can write it off, I have other hobbies. Others their hobby IS sci-fi, they go to conventions, they go to the movies, they collect memorabilia, they cosplay, etc.. they’re invested.. and not only that, for many of them, this hobby got them mercilessly ridiculed in school. You didn’t tell people you liked sci-fi when I was in school, it was social suicide.
It’s a nasty irony to use this genre as a platform to lecture people on social nuance’s, given its primary fanbase were marginalised in school for liking it.
They had their ‘culture’ ‘appropriated’, and used to tell them why they suck.. if you look at it from this perspective, it’s understandable why they’re pissed.
