As I also said earlier for reference to support my point…. How impactful would the opening scene of inglorious basterds be if you didn’t understand a word they said. If it would be the same for you, then possibly the subtleties of speech are something you struggle with?

It doesn’t interest me. I have no desire to watch something in another language, because you miss the nuances of language in the delivery of the scene. How is this so hard for you to get your head around?! Possibly speech is not your best form of communication, so reading it or hearing it spoken is indifferent for you? We all communicate differently. Thank you for your suggestion, however….. I have no interest in ‘practicing’ watching foreign films, because (for the 4th time) they don’t interest me. Are you catching on? I’ve never watched anime, not one single time.. just as I’m assuming you’ve never sat down with pro tools and created music for hours on end.. because it probably doesn’t interest you. People have differing interests… is it sinking in yet?!

If these people want to be critics, start a channel.. if people like listening to you, you will grow in popularity.. why should you be handed a job due to your colour/gender? The channel you’re commenting on was someone who wanted to become a critic/writer.. and here you are, commenting on his opinion because he put in the work to build a following loud enough for you to hear. There are many genres of movies, because there are many different types of people. I can’t remember ever kicking up a fuss that romantic comedies aren’t made with me in mind, or horrors, or dramas. Don’t like them, doesn’t mean the industry needs to change the entire genre to appeal to me. Apply that to the superhero/action genre.. if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.

  27. I’d prefer to re-watch one good thing 5 times, than watch 5 separate pieces of shit once each. I think this is one of the problems in their approach. People will watch what you release on the goodwill of the previous great things you’ve done, but that goodwill isn’t infinite. It’s not superhero fatigue, it’s disappointment fatigue.

  36. Be good if they just left it alone and made a new show. He’s got lots of cash to throw at it, get some bigger names in the cast, push it through streaming services, and it can’t really fail. If it’s something like GoT, and it’s in the list when you are looking for something to watch, most people will probably have a look. There’s no need to hang it off another franchise. Aside from unnecessarily pissing people off, it’s disrespectful to the artist to bastardise their work. There has to be a moral line with such highly regarded pieces of art.
