  11. I’m missing the team aspect. People working to a common goal, instead of there being 70000 sub plots of them all backstabbing each other. There’s something wholesome about the crew on Firefly, and I think that’s why it was so loved… “you’re part of my crew”

I mean, she’s taken issue with the race of Velma.. changed it. Taken issue with the race of Daphne.. changed it. Taken issue with Shaggy, completely removed him.. replaced with black guy. Taken issue with the white guy being written as anything other than a ‘pravalaged’ psychopath.. changed it. Then loaded the show with derogatory and constant references to ‘hwyte peepol’…. You sure do have to have a lot of hate in your heart to get upset about the colour of someone’s skin…… right mate!?

Unless you’re suggesting there was an incredibly large celestial body directly underneath the destroyer pulling things downwards (this would just pull everything in). I don’t recall seeing anything but open space, where is the gravity coming from!? You may not care about blackwashing, but it is at the core of the issue. It’s not just bad writing, it’s hateful, spiteful replacement, and the intentional destruction of male role models. Ask yourself, why did they choose scifi and superheroes as the battleground? Why not horror or romcom? The other battleground they chose was male sport. Why?

The thing is, this genre is mainly watched by males, therefore it has always been designed to appeal to that audience.. after all, if you want to SELL the product and make a profit, you want to cater to the people who fucking BUY it. Making something that insults your target audience and lacks appeal to them on any level, while destroying fantasy worlds they love, THEN insulting them further for not buying something they not only dislike but actually find insulting, it is incomprehensible stupidity and arrogance. I have never once complained that romantic comedies don’t appeal to me, because I don’t fucking care.. at all... I’m not the target audience. They don’t need to appeal to me.
