@b1bbscraz3y “Who cares about it being the original story” Well, for one, the world renowned professor/doctor who wrote it and was highly against HIS work being changed? Secondly, fans of his work, clearly. “Not sure what that even means” I’m sure you encounter this a lot with this topic, because you’re speaking to passionate fans about work they enjoy like it’s a Simpson’s episode. Mate Tolkien inspired modern fantasy. If you don’t believe me, go see what famous writers say themselves about his work. “I love these childlike defences of some mediocre story” Read that back and consider who the child might be.

@mundodasnuvens4459 Tolkien was a master of his art, a professor, a doctor.. he knew EXACTLY what he was writing, and wrote EXACTLY what he wanted to write in HIS story. Respect it, or create your own mythology. The writers butchering his work couldn’t create a shadow of this work of art, so what right do they have to change it?

@nickh5081 I’m checking out this M1 Medieval. This shit is wild. MMA with sword/shield/armour added. Crazy euros. Haha. I’ve met 2 females in my life who would have the physicality/mindset to go at this, I’ve met a lot of men who would do it for fun.

People in general were FAR smaller, 40 years old was the equivalent of 80 nowadays, health was poor. Are you trying to tell me a medieval woman is fitter/stronger than a tradesman?
