  2.  @fixvble  Push forward. They’re character/world building. If you don’t like it by the end of QCB (E4) then you just might not like it. There has to be some form of politics/story to base events around. They’re all the politics of THAT world, though.. not the one we live in. Works well.

  5. I would watch 10 seasons of life on the Cant prior to this, just hauling ice. The setting for this show is perfect sci-fi.

  9. Amos has a heart in there, he was asking about the magnets to remove his feelings, but didn’t go through with it. You could see his love for Alex as a brother when he said “we can’t fight because if we do, who’s going to fly the ship”. He wanted to mean that, because if he did, it meant he didn’t feel that emotion, but just saying it nearly reduced him to tears.

  17. Season 1-3 = peak sci-fi Season 4 = evil white dude / corporation Season 5 = Naomi / earth I always saw 1-3 as the best sci-fi ever made. Still like the others, but 1-3 is fantastic.

Sick of every show being inserted with overt real world sh!t from the perspective of a 19yo activist from downtown LA, with as much life experience as my toenail clipping. You get to the point where you look at the cover and just go “I can’t even be bothered trying”.

  29.  @geyjibill1441  Wtf you on about, Naomi is basically the core character. Season 5 is entirely built around her. Half of S5 is her alone on a ship 😂 She’s a badass character and in most core scenes of the show from the very first episode onwards. Welwala!

  31.  @LastBastian  For me the only thing I didn’t like was the “overtly evil white man/corporation” narrative in S4. Too overt, and he was too unhinged. His actions didn’t make sense. Still watch because there’s heaps of other stuff going on, it was just a hard sell. The Roci was sent there by the leaders of the UN, it’s not like his actions wouldn’t come under scrutiny from the very highest level of his employer. Too hellbent on violence and never came around, even after the massive health scare he stayed with the hate/revenge, would have been a good arc for the blinding to have taught him something…. Nope. But, if that’s the worst of it, I have no complaints. Fantastic show, don’t skip that season when I do a full watch through.

  32.  @TheBelrick  Mate, I despise the woke, I haven’t been to the cinema in 6 years, I don’t subscribe to any streaming platforms. I also physically ‘represent’ the most hated demographic of ‘white male’ available. This is a phenomenal show, with an organic setting that places ZERO emphasis on skin. It instead illustrates the divide between humans as financial. The rich treat the poor like animals, and poverty doesn’t discriminate. There’s huge division in the plot without being divisive in reality. If you CHOOSE to interpret things in a way that offend you, you can find offence anywhere, this is the reason why we are here to begin with, people choosing to be offended. Doing it to this show is just punishing yourself, mate. Let yourself have a little joy with this one. It’s worth it. Even if you just watch seasons 1-3.

  38. It makes sense with the setting/world that all types of people would be in all types of places. Makes sense, so it fits. The separation between humans isn’t skin deep, the poor suffer and poverty doesn’t discriminate. The world has its own politics and (for the most part) sticks to that. Taking the time to give a character depth means they don’t need a gimmick. I think these are some of the reasons people enjoy it.

The obviously evil genius guy who is always selling out earth at 100000000km/h and is always doing/acting incredibly unhinged, weird, sh!t, yet nobody seems to notice….. Anyone who is a cylon on the ship is a secret kept by someone else, regardless of the extinction level event at hand… at the hands of the cylons. It all just seemed so obviously idiotic… if you can’t see that guy is up to something, you’re an idiot and humanity is doomed 😂 If the leaders of last remaining group of humans aren’t willing to hand over cylon sleeper agent because ‘feelings’, then once again, the species deserves the extinction level event at hand. I gave it almost a full season because people rave about it.
