  7. Ceasefires happen on front lines for each side to collect and bury their dead, it’s not rare in warfare. An invading force leaving enemies on the ground, sure.. but leaving their own soldiers to rot where they dropped…… I guess this is the country that sent unarmed soldiers at machine guns, and killed their own soldiers if they wouldn’t run at their own certain death. “How we treat our dead is what makes us different than those who did the killing”

If entry level soldiers are committing war crimes, there is 100% responsibility on their CO, and him allowing it is the responsibility of his CO, all the way to the top. Military has STRICT command chain, you are responsible for the actions of the men you command.. plain and simple.
