  8. Richard parnell There’s a large chance if he was paying attention he could have seen it coming from a long way off. Human vision isn’t restricted to a forward facing poor quality narrow lens camera.

  9. Richard parnell Of course it matters, you are operating a 1+ tonne missile and shouldn’t be texting while doing so. When driving and fully paying attention to our surroundings we can see things a long way off. The cop had tunnel vision barely keeping his eyes on what was in front of him, let alone his surroundings, as a result the other car “came out of nowhere!!!!”. People think texting isn’t distracting, get them to do something as simple as sing the alphabet while they text.

Richard parnell For sure, the crash may have been unavoidable in its entirety, but paying attention would have lessened even the impact he suffered from it personally inside the vehicle, as he would have braced himself. There’s also a large possibility he would have seen it and avoided it entirely. I think we can all agree that texting and driving is dangerous and there isn’t any situation where it makes you safer to take your eyes and attention away from the road.
