  11. Once you spend some time around people so old require a scooter just to get around, you don’t laugh when they hit the floor, even if they are being an asshole. They’re generally so fragile a fall like that could mean death. You need to remember, the inside of their body is that old as well. They’re not exactly operating on the mental level they once did, could be the kindest person alive, but confused, and unwell mentally.

  18. @duck966 Just because someone needs a caretaker, doesn’t mean they get one. A lot of kids need parents.. how is that working out? PTSD is an excuse. For all you know that dude could have been charging at machine guns at 17 years old, in a far away land. He could have spent 10 years in a Vietnamese POW camp, leaving him both mentally and physically disabled, then come home to be swept under the rug by his government, and ridiculed by the public he tried to protect with his life. While you could be claiming PTSD because mummy didn’t get you the right sneakers for Christmas when you were 9. I’ve learned in life that you have absolutely no idea what someone else is/has going/gone through, so it’s best not to be a judgemental ass.
