  2. I paid for my own braces at 22 because my negligent ass failures for parents didn’t deem it necessary. Painful, yes, but going through life afraid to smile would be far worse.

  3. Once you spend some time around people so old require a scooter just to get around, you don’t laugh when they hit the floor, even if they are being an asshole. They’re generally so fragile a fall like that could mean death. You need to remember, the inside of their body is that old as well. They’re not exactly operating on the mental level they once did, could be the kindest person alive, but confused, and unwell mentally.

  4. @duck966 Just because someone needs a caretaker, doesn’t mean they get one. A lot of kids need parents.. how is that working out? PTSD is an excuse. For all you know that dude could have been charging at machine guns at 17 years old, in a far away land. He could have spent 10 years in a Vietnamese POW camp, leaving him both mentally and physically disabled, then come home to be swept under the rug by his government, and ridiculed by the public he tried to protect with his life. While you could be claiming PTSD because mummy didn’t get you the right sneakers for Christmas when you were 9. I’ve learned in life that you have absolutely no idea what someone else is/has going/gone through, so it’s best not to be a judgemental ass.

  7. @susanivy3619 And when the economy crashes, the dollar is worth nothing, and all your life’s hard work amounts to zero? Cool, you saved up 500k for retirement. But a loaf of bread is now $600, and someone will kill you for it on the way home. Keep flooding the west with people who hate it but are more than willing to come here and leech off it, this will be the outcome.
