  7. Always considered myself fairly progressive. My first job was in a strip joint owned by a trans couple, one of them, Joseph(ine) was like a parent to me for many years. Full post op, 20 years ago when it wasn’t a fashion statement. I’ve travelled widely and dated whoever I wanted. Worked and lived in multiple countries. For some reason this generation seems to believe nobody over 35 ever met anyone a little different. I’ve had people insist I was lying at the idea I’d even have non-white friends, let alone dated anyone not white, because a 40yo straight white male would never have been exposed to such things, and would certainly be morally against them 😂 If opposing the ‘realities’ of state funded child mutilation makes me a conservative, then I guess that’s what I am in this world of labels.

A routine colonoscopy isn’t the same as proposing government funded chemical castration leading to genital mutilation for young boys. If you want to pass it in to law, but can’t even listen to someone TALK about it, there is a huge issue with what you are proposing.

  13. @NiaLaLa_V I’ve worked in an abattoir, have you? It’s all very sterile and humane here in the west. Activist types only hold the west to their idealistic, narrow minded, hypocritical standards. They’ve shown this time and time again. Even if you cut down every last tree and turned every square inch of the planet into farm land, ignored the realities of livestock field rotation, demineralisation of farming soil, etc.. you couldn’t feed the population a plant based diet.

  23. @TheGiftofrebirth Children don’t want complex, experimental life altering medical procedures. This is insanity. Children don’t know what they want to eat 3 hours from now. Children can’t cross the road safely without adult assistance. What children ARE is very impressionable, and very easily manipulated. This is part of being innocent, with a developing brain. If the people I trusted as a child told me I wanted to be a girl, and groomed me into it, giving me ‘medicine’ to help me be a girl. That would have been the outcome until l became an adult and started thinking for myself. At that point, the damage both mentally and physically is done.

  24. I’m not for it. Kids are kids, they aren’t making informed adult choices because their minds are not capable of it yet. They don’t have the perspective, even if they had the cognitive ability, which they don’t. I know a lot of fully grown adults who are barely capable of making life choices.

  25. If you were the child, arrived at 25 years old and realised what people had done to you, would you kill them? I can’t judge that person for killing their abusers, when I’m fairly certain I would do the same.

Being a child is a confusing time, kids don’t need some looney in a position of trust/authority saying “you played with barbie? Here, take these puberty blockers”. Let the kid play with barbie, let them play with make up, they’re kids, they like to play. DONT fill them with life altering medication because they are in a phase. DONT fill their mind with insanity because they’re currently playing with dolls.
