It’s either popular enough before production starts that they create propaganda from the beginning (Star Wars, etc) or it becomes popular very quickly because it’s not propaganda, and they make season 2 propaganda to leech off of the good will season 1 garnered (Reacher).

If someone gets decent run time in the trailer, they’re usually in the movie proportionally. If you put them in the trailer liberally, then give them a small cameo in the film, that is a bait and switch. You baited fans into thinking that actor would play a sizeable role due to their presence in marketing.

  25. Well, I’m glad you had a fun time. It’s been a decade since I’ve had that experience, and in that time I’ve watched every piece of art I love, used as a platform for propaganda that specifically targets and abuses my demographic.

  26. @chrismcintyre5445 I liked the Witcher games, I like Henry. I never watched a single episode, because to me, he just couldn’t be Geralt. Too clean cut, too young, too good looking. Geralt needed to be embodied by a 45-55 year old actor, with naturally greying hair/beard, some muscle on him, but not a CrossFit body, but most importantly, the dude needed to be rugged/rough. Henry doesn’t fit the bill for my head cannon. Probably for the best since they tanked the series with feminism anyway.

Young men/boys want role models who are badass men, and no matter how hard they try, you won’t sell an overweight feminist as a hero to a boy/young man, and especially not to a grown man. No matter how hard they try, they won’t sell romantic comedy as action. Female entitlement to male spaces is incredibly selfish.
