Khabib was clearly more affected by the fact Herb let him get away with kneeing him in the head on the ground, cage grabs, glove grabs, etc.. not physically, but it did affect his mindset. Herb should have picked Coner up, deducted a point then put him right back on the ground underneath Khabib and restarted the action.

  8. Herb says he didn’t interfere because it changes the course of the fight. Khabib was negatively affected by the fact the fouls were constantly let go. So the foul is having double impact on the person being fouled, first the foul, then the frustration of ANOTHER blatant foul being let go.

  11. Gotta let em work, but at the same time, we need to check the rules on wrestlers just holding people down, holding on for dear life with zero progression. Work for something, just keeping them on the ground isn’t enough. We don’t let strikers keep distance and not engage for a full round, you get deducted for timidity.
