@9614cp
On average the difference in fast twitch fibres between ALL races is about 0.3-1% there are fantastic athletes from all over the planet.
I can tell you’ve never left your own town, let alone seen the world you’re so quick in breaking down to what you see in your own neighbourhood.
I can also tell you’re trying to make yourself feel elite by attempting to align yourself with the achievements of others because you have the same skin colour….. you’re not them, bud. You are you, and you’re probably average, like most people.
Rugby players are absolute warriors, I say this and I don’t like the sport in any way. I watch the NFL. You put a union team and an NFL team on the same field and tell them to kill each other, the NFL team will end up in the ground 10 times out of 10. NFL burst, rest… union is 2 hours of 100% effort with one break to change ends. Not even comparable.
As for your “we only play this sport, but would win at any” I’ll throw the same idiocy back at you.. “Indians generally don’t play basketball, or they would dominate it”… it’s almost as if, when communities show heavy interest in a sport, they do well…… crazy, huh… racist 🤡

@DarrenReddix-jl1gu
It’s the truth, buddy. I’m not saying it because I’m under 30 and am taking a shot at people over 30.
I’ve experienced the drop in athleticism, but also the drop in recovery, reaction time, savagery, drive, the injuries that don’t go away. We change, the realities of biology force it. It’s not huge, but it is reality. It’s also a bummer to feel yourself lose that half step, especially when you are a competitive person.
Another thing that fades is your will/desire to hurt people. At 25, I’d happily light someone up. Now, you would have to do something pretty wild for me to resort to violence.
The raw emotion and physical conditioning to be a world tier professional athlete in a dangerous sport, is not infinite. It’s a young man’s game, only very rare athletes go longer.
If a sport requires genuine risk to our personal safety, the older we get, the less we are willing to risk, and therefore we lose the edge required to compete at the very top of the sport.

@sorelvio79
Sure, you missed your opportunity to list Arlovski.. the ability to go longer doesn’t mean you stay in your prime, it just means the drop off isn’t as bad as lower classes.
What you’re not considering is, they’re not machines, drive fades, and niggling injuries limit your training capacity, which limits your fight capacity. With age people lose the desire to get up at 4am and run themselves to the point of vomiting 7 days a week. Understandable.
DC was still there mentally to fight, but his body was gone, his career ended at around 40, on a loss.
Jan would never have been champ if Jones wasn’t a fuck up, same with Glover.. both on the backs of losses, look like they’re slowing down… because they are.
Stipe is 39.. he was last on top at 36-37….. why make things up?
It seems like these guys start to fold in their late 30’s.. because they’re ageing fighters.

@sorelvio79
Then you could say that about LHW and HW.. other end of the scale. Not as many fighters, as you said, the numbers are stacked in the middle.
So is it only FW/LW/MW that we rate because that’s the average size? In which case, if you’re going to write off DJ, you have to write off Jones/DC/Stipe/etc.
FLW is less popular because of size not because there were no fighters to fill the division. DJ finished an Olympic gold medallist in about a minute.. is that sub par competition?
HW is actually the hardest division to find fighters for, they were worried the division will die a while back just due to lack of bodies. I’m a bum, I train for fun, but I have a big body. I was getting (clinch) rounds at TMT/Top Team Phuket against legitimate pro fighters because there just wasn’t enough big bodies for fighters to train with.
DJ was exceptional, Rogan wholeheartedly called him the greatest fighter to ever live, and he wasn’t being paid to say that like with Rousey/McGreger because Dana didn’t like DJ.
It’s interesting to see the bias against DJ though.
Jones dominated his division, people say he’s amazing
DJ did the same, it’s due to a weak division
Yet DJ is the technically superior of the 2 fighters, this isn’t debatable. If you can point out another fighter capable of a suplex to mid air arm bar transition in round 5 of a title fight, I’d love to know who they are.
I think they were both exceptional fighters. DJ never popped for peds though. So it’s DJ for me.

@ishmael802
Well, it’s a bit silly to say “the fans,” since it seems a lot of fans disagree with you speaking for them. I’m a fan of Max, have been since he first rocked into the organisation as a teenager, I don’t think he won the second fight.
But like I said, yes.. the UFC needed it to be 1-1 to make the trilogy. I love Joe, but he’s not afraid to shill for entertainment sake. Go listen to him talk about Rousey being the best fighter male or female to ever compete… hype. He’s paid to hype people.
Dana wants to make 3 fights, more fights, more money.. of course he will swing that way.
You got your third fight, it was humiliating, so back to talking about the second one?

@MrWolfchamp-xi3cu
Correct. Re-read the post.
To make it to the UFC you need to do well domestically. When your domestic scene is rampant with peds, clean fighters won’t excel there, so they don’t make it to the UFC. Dirty fighters excel there, the next step is UFC, where they test (most) fighters. So now they have to go clean, and they fall off.
Walkers skin in his first cpl fights was riddled with juice pimples/craters.
When USADA came in, every single Brazilian champion was dethroned. Prior to USADA Aldo was unbeatable, Barao was apparently the greatest, Silva unbeatable.. Since then, we’ve had a female Brazilian champ. Let’s be honest, Nunes is no stranger to injecting test.

@MrWolfchamp-xi3cu
You’re not trying to understand, fella.. you’re just trying to offer your opinion defending a fighter you like.
Look at what happened. He came into the UFC, riddled with signs of ped abuse, looked like a monster, then just completely fell off.
When you make noise and they talk about title shots, they will test you from then on to ensure when they make the investment in you as an athlete of pushing you to the top, marketing you, etc, they’re not going to have to tell everyone you popped for peds in the lead up to a title fight. Not a good look.
Brazil were at the top of the sport, USADA came in and they haven’t been relevant since.. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.
Imagine being a clean fighter in the domestic scene, you fight a heavily juicing fighter who beats you and as a result gets a ticket to the UFC, stops juicing and becomes a fighter you would flog 10/10 times.. doesn’t matter, he got your ticket. This is where Brazil mma is.

@9614cp
Leave your home town, mate. Your view of the world is skewed. I'm not responding to your 'facts', because they're just racist opinions :)
"everything traces back to Africa" right!? Tell me more about those Polynesian Africans you 'studied'. :)
So cricket doesn't count, takes no athleticism to bowl at 160km/h according to the guy who knows nothing about cricket. Rugby doesn't count, according to the guy who knows nothing about rugby.. essentially you're talking about the NFL and the NBA.
Gridiron isn't played professionally anywhere else, so not really a great comparison globally. Nobody cares about basketball over here, or in many other places. So what is it bud, are we talking all athletes across the planet, or are we talking American sports and American athletes? you have a very specific set of goal posts.
Didn't Cooper Kupp just take the triple crown as a superbowl winning receiver!? I guess that was just politics, no way he achieved that through being an exceptional athlete, it's not possible, he has the wrong skin colour to be a great athlete, according to R P.. does that stand for 'Racial Profiler' mate?
"There are great athletes from all around the world", this statement seems to hurt you. why is that? Why does the notion of exceptional Asian, Indian, Hispanic, Caucasian athletes make you so angry and defensive!?
Samuel being an exceptional athlete doesn't transfer to you because you have the same skin colour, you can't move like Lamar because you have the same skin colour.. this isn't how being a top tier athlete works. You're trying to gain athleticism by association, and your goalposts are based around regional sports. It would be funny if it wasn't from a place of race hate.

@9614cp
You don’t live in your home town anymore.. well done. Shame you kept that chip on your shoulder and allowed it to grow into blind race hate. My passport is full, I’ve owned business that operate out of your country, do you have a passport?
I call Samuel an exceptional athlete and praise Lamar, then bring up Kupp, you discredit him. Why is that? Do you think anyone on Kupps team holds your view of him as a man or an athlete?
Racism on all sides has one thing in common.. low IQ. You only ever hear the dregs of any race spewing hate based on skin colour. Do you really want to associate yourself with that?
I’ll say it again, bud.. Debo being an exceptional athlete doesn’t transfer over to you based on melanin, no matter how much you wish it would, you are you’re average self, and he is an exceptional athlete.. same as I am my average self and Kupp is an exceptional athlete. No doubt this statement is somehow racist to you.
Skin colour is an indicator on how close your ancestors were to the equator in their evolutionary chain.
Keep using the success of better men to buff your athletically average ego, mate. It’s not sad at all.
If Chappelle is the best comedian in the world, does it make you funny because you share skin colour? Look at you go, athletic as Jordan and funny as Chappelle, based purely on your skin.
For the record, fuck anyone who calls you a criminal based on your skin, they’re in that pool of low IQ clowns I referred to earlier. You chose to swim with them.. guess what that makes you 🤡

@anonnymous31
Forced to have money to be able to train? That is paying for a service, and if you have legit potential, any coach with passion will let you 'pay' by cleaning/etc.
I'm forced to pay to go to work, if you look at it that way. Dry cleaning, transport, updating certifications, etc etc etc.
You draw the line at performance enhancing drugs, because you cant expect people to compete, nor put the idea in young peoples minds that they MUST juice. It can be done relatively safely, but done wrong that shit can destroy you.
Sadly it's hard to police, and due to the huge money involved, some fighters get to juice. Usman is 100% on that designer gear, McGregor went to Iceland and pumped HGH, Jones, Israels blatant gyno... the list is endless.

@muhammedaydn8610
Coner is a bum, always was.
Edson was well past his prime and is known to be weak to wrestlers, he was on a skid of losses when they fought. He has since gone down weight and continued to lose.
RDA was on a losing streak, went down a division and continued losing.
Johnson was on a losing streak, went down and continued losing.
Your recollection is incorrect, showing your bias. Khabib isn’t even the best lightweight of his era, let alone the best P4P of all time.
When he got the belt, he chose to retire because defending a belt likeJones, Silva, GSP, MM, takes something Khabib didn’t have.
Khabib is a good fighter, but not even close to the fighter you say he is.. or his record would reflect what you’re saying.

@pthorne
Jones is a killer on the feet, stone cold, can fight from either stance, many a world tier striker has thought as you do, they generally end up unconscious with Jones having yet another belt put around his waist.
He can also wrestle. DC couldn’t take him down, which is saying something, but to go with that, he repeatedly took down a low centre of gravity, decorated Olympic wrestler.
He would finish Israel wherever he wanted to. It’s not even comparable. I think people forget how good Jones actually is/was. It’s possible Father Time has come for him, but even then, he’s just on another level.
I’ve seen Israel face down in bum leagues, I’ve seen Israel in a 5 round slugfest with a 5’7” welterweight.. ive seen Israel refuse to engage in half his title fights. I’ve never seen Jones in trouble, save the first Gustafson fight. I’ve never even considered a mid tier short middleweight taking Jones the distance in a close fight like KG did to Israel.
You think Jan is even close to Jones? I think Jones is a piece of shit, but there’s never been a middleweight that could go up and fight him, it’s been over a decade and a LHW hasn’t even beat the dude. Fvck Jones, trash human… absolute killer.
