PPV is how they make money only because they allow their base to be so small, and the company tries to tell them they can make more by selling PPV’s. But who makes the money? The top 2 fights? The top fight? What about the other 30 fighters on the card?.......... yet they can’t get outside sponsorship as the company makes more with Reebok. It’s a dictatorship and the fighters are slaves to their desire to compete at the highest level. They need a fighters union to protect them. What about the NFL? Do they need PPV’s to make money? No, all advertising and TV packages that include a barrage of other sports for a monthly subscription, not a 1 off ludicrous figure for 1 hour of broadcasting... a kicker is paid more than the majority of the UFC roster. Again, they need a fighters union to protect them. The company that owns the UFC is a multi billion dollar offshoot of a group of even bigger companies. They can afford to pay fighters regardless of PPV figures, but they don’t have to because the fighters accept what they are given. If you want to part with your cash because you believe it goes to the fighters (😂) you go ahead, but please know they are not benefiting from your money, you are just handing over cash to a giant money machine, with the only benefit to anyone aside from that giant, being your misguided morality.
