  2. He’s been out for medical reasons following the assault. I’m not sure people understand this, and believe he’s just been sitting out. He humiliated Masvidal, then got blind sided by a dude who did nothing in a 25 minute cage fight, and has been dealing with the legal/medical side of things since. Sad reality but he will get more from that lawsuit than from fighting. Deserve? Strange word in the UFC. Coner got his shot after beating Dennis siver. Then got his shot after handing a belt back and doing coke for 2 years Jones got his shot after zero fights in the division and zero fights in 2 years. I’m not saying he should get it, but who else? Khazmat? Dude needs to decide what division he wants to fight in if he wants a shot at the belt, Dana doesn’t want a flaky champ. Belal? Why? He’s a bin man. Gilbert? Why? He loses and keeps looking worse each fight, despite being a warrior. Shavkat? If Colby doesn’t deserve it, how does he? Thompson? We’re running out of options here.
