  1. Yeah, it's not necessarily Trump's fault. Trump's election and the shooting are both just symptoms of a bigger problem, tbh. The same division and hatred and breakdown of society is responsible both for Trump being elected, and the shooting. He's basically just a figurehead that says to the world "hate has won in the USA, at least for the next 2 years." It doesn't have to be Trump, it could be any sexist racist demagogue, and it wouldn't make a difference, it's just the fact that a racist sexist demagogue sits in office helps embolden the people who feel the same way as him, because they get a sense that the country agrees with their alt-right radical ideology.
