They are also are afraid of the Ukrainian military which is a short distance away and getting closer. There is no Russian Republic of Kherson. Your so called Kherson Republic had 10 of its towns liberated by Ukrainian forces in the last 48 hours. They are now only 12 miles from the Kherson city center. Watch Putin's forces run back to Crimea. They are not stupid. They don't want to die for a corrupt tyrant like Putin.
