The Doctor DID report it. The Indiana Attorney General needs to apologize and if he is smart, hire a lawyer.

@aldomeow She did report it. The AG of Indiana owes her a public, on camera apology. Bet he won't do it though.

The doctor reported it. You should research before you post.

She reported it.

@tikar8982 The doctor who performed the abortion in Indiana filed a report with the Indiana Department of Health as she was required to do. The Attorney General of Indiana defamed her and should have to pay.

@kl4888 Actually Yost is trying so hard now to excuse this extremist law in Ohio. He knows well that no doctor dares use the emergency exception because that doctor would face felony charges if the doctor guessed wrong. Just look at what the Indiana Attorney General did in threatening the doctor who DID perform the abortion.

@kl4888 Have you seen this report where she supposedly said the father was 17? Do you know for a fact that the child told the doctor the true age of the father? Do you know for a fact that the family told the doctor the true age of the father? Do you know for a fact that she has a "history" of not reporting? Actually the AG of Indiana accused her of not filing the report at all. She did, in a timely basis. She in fact reported that she performed an abortion on a 10 year old and that the child was a victim of abuse. She followed the law. The AG slandered her, now he needs to pay. Big time.
2
Of course it was reported. The dirt bag Indiana AG is trying to go after her because she performed an abortion.

The doctor reported it, so no. If you make false accusations like you just made, you are subjecting yourself to defamation action. I'm taking the liberty of forwarding your comment to her lawyer.

@kl4888 1. An intelligent doctor in Ohio won't perform abortions while risking a felony charge. Especially since the anti abortion law in Ohio is so vague as to what is a medical emergency. The law grants an exception when “medically diagnosed condition that so complicates the pregnancy of the woman as to directly or indirectly cause the substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function." Now what if that was not the case with this 10 year old? Remember, there is NO exception for rape or age of the pregnant girl. None. Nor is there any exception for mental health of the women, in this case, a 10 year old. Even the nonpartisan Ohio Legislative Service Commission issued a report stating that a 10 year old by virtue of her age would not qualify for an exception to the anti abortion law. Once again, Yost is lying.

@kl4888 This girl has been violated by a rapist and the Attorney Generals of Ohio and Indiana, the Ohio State Legislature and Fox News. Certain basic facts are not in dispute. A 10 year old girl got raped and made pregnant. An Ohio doctor would not perform an abortion because she could be arrested if she did. The girl was forced to travel 200 miles to Indianapolis to get an abortion. The doctor there reported it as an abuse case within the 3 day limit. The AG of Ohio falsely accused this story as being false, without checking. The AG of Indiana falsely accused the doctor of not filing a report, when she did.

@kl4888 It wasn't a violation of HIPAA or any other law to report this disgraceful Ohio law and its consequences. Anti abortion zealots like you would use the government to force rape victims AS YOUNG AS 10 to carry to term their rapist's child. Even rape victims in Saudi Arabia can get abortions, but not in Ohio. These AGs are getting the criticism they deserve and I hope it costs them their political careers. People are angry as hell.
1
@kl4888 You are entitled to believe that life begins at conception. You are entitled to believe that abortion is wrong and that rape victims shouldn't get them. Where you and others cross the line is when you enlist right wing politicians and judges to force your opinions on others, when government takes away the right of pregnant women, their families and doctors to make abortion decisions and hand that power to government. In this case, government headed by lying zealots like the Attorney Generals of Ohio and Indiana.
1
@kl4888 If you truly supported the right of rape victims to decide on an abortion you would say it but you won't so I can only conclude you would agree with Republican zealots that would force such women to give birth. Here are facts: 92.7% of all abortions in the US take place in the first trimester. Another 6.2% of abortions take place in the first two months of the second trimester. Less than 1% take place in the third trimester. You wouldn't know it though, listening to anti abortion zealots. Women know far more about their biology then you give them credit for. I have known several women who have made the very difficult choice to have an abortion because of serious defects in the embryo, or medical conditions of the pregnant women. Point is, it is not government's business in this decision making process. When government gets to decide, you see the clown show that the AGs of Ohio and Indiana ran. I trust individuals not government.
1
@kl4888 She had to go out of state. The Ohio law provides no exceptions that this little girl fit into. Dave Yost is lying, once again.
1
The doctor in Ohio could have lost her license and been indicted for a felony and there are so many anti abortion extremists who run the government in Ohio that this would have been likely.
1
Lock up the Indiana Attorney General.
1
She reported it. The Attorney General is the one lying to you.

@PhantomNites Forcing a 10 year old to bring a child to term is amazingly cruel and even risky. Forcing her to bring her RAPIST'S child to term is every more insane. Saudi Arabia has an exception for rape victims, but not Ohio.
1
@PhantomNites I suggest you do some research before your post comments like that, which are totally absurd.
1
@PhantomNites You obviously haven't read many of the reports of the risks of adolescent pregnancies. I have and now you look like the fool you are.
