Comments by "guido toth" (@guidototh6091) on "Ohio School Board Member Doubles Down on Anti-Racism Curriculum Ban" video.
Nobody in the Forest Hills School District was proposing that "Critical Race Theory" be taught in schools. This Board wants to ban all discussion of race.
2
@themindeclectic9821 These idiots on the school board couldn't even come up with a definition of "critical race theory." They literally didn't define what they were banning. That is why they are a laughing stock here.

She is a far right person with an agenda to stop schools talking about diversity, talking about racism, talking about anything in American history that would show white people in a bad light.
1
No one is teaching Critical Race Theory in the Forest Hills School District. This out of touch school board IS trying to ban any discussion of race in their schools.
1
@autofocus4556 No one in this school district is teaching "CRT." This school board however, is trying to ban the mere discussion of racism, diversity or anything in their narrow opinions, even mentions such topics.
1
@autofocus4556 It is the whole story. I live there.
1
@autofocus4556 Find credible evidence that the Forest Hills School District in Anderson Township, Ohio teaches "critical race theory." Bet you can't. Know why? Because they don't.
1
@autofocus4556 Show me that they are trying in the Forest Hills School District. Again, you won't be able to, because no one is.
1
@autofocus4556 Right wing Christians have always banned books and whined about their views not being taught, this is the most recent chapter of this story.
1
@autofocus4556 I don't hear anyone at this School Board meeting complaining about anything in the curriculum or the school library. It is the School Board that wants to censor.
1
@autofocus4556 Far from it. Book banning by right wing Christians is constant. In Texas they are banning a graphic novel version of Anne Frank's Diary.
1
@JR-kv6ez This school board is out of control and has been for several months and this was just the latest in a series of meetings where they are pushing an agenda trying to silence students and teachers. The public is pushing back.
1
I've never heard anyone define "anti racism" in the way you just. Ever.
1
@Absolutelynope87 Like I said, I've never heard anyone criticize the term "anti racism" except those that are racists. But the broader point is this: these radicals on the Forest Hills School Board have an agenda to stamp out any teaching that doesn't fit into their world view. They do not want a discussion of racism in class, they don't want to admit that racism exists, they want to pretend that it never did or at least it was a long time ago and they don't want to celebrate the accomplishments of any group of people who aren't white. A local school for years had "Diversity Day" wherein they celebrated other cultures. This Board ended it despite its popularity.
1
There is no such curriculum in this school district. Simply not true.
1
People who get really upset about any discussion of racism would like to pretend it doesn't exist.
1
@daledickerson3162 These zealots on the school board are obsessed with race. They are so afraid of anyone discussing racism, thinking about racism that they are willing to ban the mere mention of it.
1
@daledickerson3162 You may not care that it exists. But that doesn't change the fact that it has existed and does exist. No one is suggesting that it be an excuse for anything at all. How weird that you would suggest that.
1
Banning things is what evangelical right wing Christians do at school board meetings.
1
There is no critical race theory being taught in this school district. These school board members just want to censor any talk about race at all.
1
There is a right wing movement now in school boards to stop this. These people are often radical right wing evangelical Christians like the woman speaking.
1
This school district is overwhelmingly white, but not entirely. For several years the students at one of the high schools had a Diversity Day wherein they celebrated different cultures. This woman and her two other supporters on the School Board ended Diversity Day and lied about the reasons, saying there were lots of complaints when there were not. Their agenda is clear and that is why people are pushing back against them.

The left didn't create the KKK
1
@Cryptic0631 Let's see what the KKK stood for: anti immigration, Jim Crow, keeping out people who weren't white, evangelical protestants, against Jews and Catholics and people living in large norther cities, they celebrated rural white people and their values. If you call that the "left" then you are really slow.
1
That was not going on in this school district however.
