  6.  @hermanwooster8944  Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts have a larger ethnic Ukrainian population than Russian. Mariupol, in Donetsky Oblast was the most Russian city in Ukraine and now Putin has destroyed it. Most of the people who fled choose to go to Ukraine. They voted with their feet. After the criminal and thuggish way that these Russian backed "states" have been run into the ground, they have alienated their own people.

He wants to rule over the 45 million Ukrainians and doesn't think they deserve their own country. He has said this numerous times.   26. The Russian Army consists of 280,000 active duty personnel. The great majority of them are already committed to this war. The majority of Russia's tactical battle groups have been sent to the war, about 65% have been committed and those that have, have suffered huge losses. They can scrape the bottom of the barrel and get more cannon fodder but the results won't not only be the same, probably will be worse.
