Ukraine's goal is to defeat the Soviets, arm themselves so they will never invade again. They are nearing those goals everyday. The third is so to make Putin a world outcast. This they already have achieved. Meanwhile NATO is unified, with even Finland wanting to join.

Russia has lost thousands of dead, is stuck in defensive positions are Kyiv and can't feed and supply it's army. Meanwhile the Ukrainian Army gets stronger every day. Putin's goal is to incorporate Ukraine and its people into his new Soviet empire. They will never submit to such slavery. Putin's only option now is to arrest the Russians who protest against him and try to kill as many Ukrainians as he can. He is doomed.

@Siempre1978 Even conservative estimates put Soviet deaths at 7,000 and the wounded are likely over 20,000. Loss of tanks and combat vehicles well over a thousand. Putin wanted to conquer Kyiv in 3 days. Nearly one month in his thugs are actually withdrawing into defensive positions. So now he is just trying to ethnic cleanse the portions of Ukraine that he can. He bit off more than he can chew. The people of Ukraine are united and the Soviet soldiers are scared and demoralized and hungry.

Putin has executed opposition politicians and shut down newspapers and murdered journalists, but you don't mention those. I have family in Ukraine and I read a lot. Why hasn't Putin ever invited in independent third parties to investigate these war crimes in Donbas? Hmm?

@Siempre1978 If you really cared about civilian deaths you would condemn Putin for killing thousands of Ukrainians, and bombing Ukrainian cities indiscriminately. But you again, are silent. Putin doesn't care about the people of Ukraine whether they live in Donbas, Kyiy or Kharkiv. He is out to conquer the country and incorporate it into his Soviet Empire. And he won't stop there.

Cleansing the cities? You sound like a member of the SS in WW2. Ukrainians in the Kherson region are protesting the illegal occupation by Putin's Soviet thugs and they actually tying up troops in that region. Of course they are using old Soviet attempts to intimidate the population but it isn't working. The Ukrainians know they are winning and are not sheep.
