Australia has lost the technology and skills to manufacture cars and tens of thousands of jobs as a result, not just in the main automobile manufacturing plants, but auto parts makers supplying them as well. The wretched pollies, bureaucrats and economists plotting this decline ought to be kicked repeatedly in the shins (or higher) for letting the Australian car industry crumble away, probably forever. If you say; "Australia is small with higher wages", Sweden is even smaller with even higher wages and still been able to retain Saab and Volvo. Hockey was the grave digger and Abbot delivered the funeral eulogy of the Australian car industry.
