  1. Ballistic missiles are expensive enough. The cost of the sidewinder air-to-air missile (launched by an F-22 Raptor at the Chinese spy balloon over the North Carolina coast) cost $400,000. That's four times more expensive than the spy balloon it downed. For slow moving vehicles (like balloons), I suggest the US Air Force use a much cheaper method of downing these balloons.

  2. Supersonic flight? Wasn't the Concorde jet supersonic? Shut down in 2003 due to bankrupting the airliners using them (that and a crash in Paris in 2003, killing everyone on board and 4 people on the ground finally ended Concorde).

  3. Using nucleotides to boost hypersonic flight is madness, environmentally. Spread radioactives throughout the stratosphere? Yeah, brilliant. Just like Castle Bravo.
