  1. It's also intelligent policy. Masses of people arriving without any cultural comminality with the host country, creates a huge social burden and stored conflict. Denmark may be the one country in Western Europe with intelligent immigration practice. It's not xenophobia and racism from the Danes, but a careful observation of failures of mass immigration from non-Christian cultures into neighboring countries, like Sweden. Culturally, Denmark and Sweden are very similar, and the Danes recognize the rise of the radical right in Sweden as a backlash to idiotic utopian-driven left wing policies, and don't want the same thing to happen to their country. The Danes also sensibly don't ban immigration, but regulate it. This is in stark context to their northern and southern neighbours; Sweden and Germany.

  2. Left wing values are not to be trusted any more than the xenophobic right wing. Why do I say this? One word, socialism. Socialism, like National Socialism is deeply flawed. The basic assumption that all human beings are a similar animal is true, but that we're all basically the same (under left wing socialism values) over-rides political, religious and cultural values which not all the same, so this assumption is false, demeaning (for both parties) and dangerous, with a lot of stored conflicts to come. This false left wing view, however, is not just the product from extremist cranks from the left, but mainstream politicians and national European leaders like Angela Merkel. It's not that immigration should stop, but that immigration should be a carefully balanced act. The further away migrants may come from their host country, the more differences generally that culture has and the longer or less liklihood that the incoming culture will adjust to the laws and lifestyle of it's host nation. This is especially true if a single ethnic group or nationality arrives in large numbers, such as Syrian migrants into Germany. The human reaction is safely in numbers and familiarity, so it is possible then to live within such a large monoculture community, without hardly any interaction with the host country, including it's culture and laws and not even being able to speak the language. This also becomes problematic for the host county because a large mass of people suddenly demand rights that clash with your own cultural laws and norms. For example, in Germany there may be strong intolerance to LGBT people and culture in Muslim communities, leading to hate attacks against these people, and more danger for free young women in public, from a conservative culture and religious practice that insists on women covering up in public and are not permitted to leave the house without being chaperoned by a male (e.g. father, brother or husband). Men, from where these origin countries that have a chaperone system for unmarried women, may view free young women as fair game for sexual assult in their host country. This makes a massive headache for law enforcement agencies. These are some the problems set in motion by the idiotic and utopian minded liberal left.

  3. ​ @Thinkofwhat China is no model of anything good now, except revisionism of how it was like under Stalin in the USSR (including the Eastern European countries the Soviets virtually occupied and periodically invaded to prop up their puppet governments during the Cold War). What good does totalitarianism do you? Go read George Orwell's semi-fictional books Nineteen Eighty Four and Animal Farm (I call semi-fictional because Animal Farm was a fair description of the early Bolsheviks). Then get back to me about the wisdom of doing business with China, a country cut from the same cloth as the USSR.
