  1. Chinese experts on IC silicon chips know it will take at least a decade of intensive R & D to get anywhere near the capabilities of Taiwanese, South Korean and Japanese chip manufacturing. Meanwhile in a decade, significant advances in IC chip design in Taiwan etc. has already moved on. Also the more advanced the chip, the more engineering precision is needed to make those chips. So the CCP have little chance (unassisted by foreign IC experts, including Taiwanese) in making advanced chips for military and civilian applications in the next decade.
