  1. EUV technology is very advanced and requires a consortium of countries to produce these machines. The leading maker of EUV is ASML in the Netherlands. This secretive company employs the best minds in the free world with the most skilled engineers and physicists to produce these machines and to stay ahead of the game. The mirror positioning precision in these ASML lithography machines is highly exacting, for example, and their engineering quality is very difficult to duplicate, even with the blueprints of this machine. I think it is beyond the capabilities and scientific skill of the CCP to reproduce it. It is certain to be very difficult to reverse-engineer. I'm not asserting that there are no clever people in China, but their system of confection, espionage and copycats is not effective enough to manufacture leading EUV machines in this case. Hence, China is 5 to 10 years behind leading electronics manufacturers and designer countries (like the US, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea and the Netherlands).
