  1. Mine these cables with small pole explosives. The dreg or grappling hooks can get caught in them and they can explode. If these cables are buried in the sea floor, the shock wave from a small underwater explosion may not damage the cable, but will damage the dredges and grappling equipment. Divers may not go down there before the mines can be deactivated (which can be done by remote signal sensors).
