China can't continue Covid lockdowns for another 5 years. The Chinese people will be literally eating dirt long before that time (in the Great Leap Forward, Chinese peasants were literally eating dirt before they starved). The CCP is an extremist charismatic totalitarian system. China has been plagued by tyrants throughout it's history, driven by this charismatic cult of leadership. Europe to some extent as well, but China has largely known no other form of government.
