  1. Black holes are not stars but collapsars. They are in a similar classification as neutron stars (pulsars and magnetars) and white dwarfs. Stars (in their cores or shell burning, like Betetguese), fuse the nucleii of lighter elements to heavier elements, like hydrogen to helium (as in the core of the sun) .

  2. Most microbes are harmless to us (including most microbes in the soil). It's a very small subset of zoonotic and human viruses and bacteria which could do many of us in. If they turn into pandemics.
