  1. Much of face recognition technology has been stolen from Western sources. Hikvision for example. This has been used as instruments of surveillance and oppression by the CCP in Xinjiang and other places. There is only one bright spot in this dreary story of espionage and corruption of Western universities is that, having acquired the technology by secrecy or overtly by takeover (except for TikTok), the CCP has not succeeded in advancing and perfecting the technology much for their own uses. It seems that ignorance, ideology and corruption has held the CCP back from achieving this.

  2. The CCP propaganda aimed at Western audiences are mostly not very good. Probably because Westerners generally have not had ideological education (the CCP installs this from early childhood education), and freer media so have a better educated and skeptical view of the absurdities that the CCP push out to either cover up it's crimes or create calumny and division in the West for it's own ends.
