  2. Indeed it is. Automobile ownership in Indonesia has room to grow. As a large country, there is plenty of potential automobile buyers there. Futhermore, Indonesia can offer a location for foreign automobile manufacturing plants, such as Hyundai, with competitive labour costs. This is positive for passive technology transfer to Indonesia, opening of automobile supplier factories to the main plant and up-skilling of plant workers there and in associated automotive parts manufacturers.
