  1. North Korea's GDP is not big; about 48 billion. About 1.3% that of California. Russia's GDP of approximately 5.7 trillion is approximately 120 times that of North Korea. Russia's previously luke-warm reception for NK now turned to bromance is about acquiring NK weapons only. NK, by it's pathetic economy (which should be 50 times bigger than it is, thanks to the repression of the Kims). This again is a relationship by necessity and shows the economic and military supply desperation of Russia. NK is thrilled because Russia will make it richer by arms sales & it's not China.
