  1. Taiwanese people have no rights in mainland China, period. Taiwanese businesses there (operating or dormant) are at severe risk of assets and properties seized. Without the likelihood of compensation. Furthermore, Taiwanese workers in China, professional or not, are also at risk; unpaid wages (or never paid in arrears), and arbitrary arrest without charges (not habeas corpus imprisonment which is a very basic right), and confiscation of personal property without compensation. A brutal lesson in totalitarian society, which is China now. Why would any foreign national (including Taiwanese), and Asian or not want to work or do business in China now beats me?
