  2. Clearly, launching an invasion mission against Taiwan includes Japan as well. This means that the PLAAF and PLAAN will attack military targets in Japanese bases coordinated with the invasion against Taiwan. There is another reason. These daring and aggressive incursions against China's neighbours (Taiwan, Japan, Philippines) is about pushing quite hard while the US government is having an election in November. The Jake Sullivan mission to China about this was a waste of words. Expect more of these incursions leading up to November. This high risk behaviour by the PLA could precipitate a war this year.
