  1. Does the KJ3000 AWACS, really carry a rotating antenna? This is already obselete technology. The modern USN AWACS is the E-7 Wedgetail. This uses a more advanced AESA system with no rotating antenna needed. Already, the PLAAF is 30 years behind in this technology.

  2. More drones and anti-ship missiles could knock out these attacking ships with the extended ramps before they get near to the shore of Taiwan, where they might be deployed. In the fairly deep waters around Taiwan, they are also targets of NATO submarines. As said by this channel; slow and under-armoured and under-gunned. This are not in the same class as littoral Independence class assult ships like the USS Canberra (LCS-30), which are fast and well protected, have missile jamming and designed to take light battle damage near shore. The only scenario where these "assult barges" might be useful is when Taiwan no longer can fìeld a defending army, navy or air force. In contested seas however, they would be like shooting sitting ducks and the PLA can watch on while battalions of marines swim around in the ocean.
