  1. Worse, China Observer is indicating that thousands of BYD (and other brand) EV owners in China are getting locked out of their cars, often remotely by the dealership. Some of them want "rental money" for the car batteries that the owners bought with the car. This is extortion money; a sign of things to come with EVs.
