  1. China needs the goodwill of foreigners for growth, but it's driving them all away with it's ridiculous anti-espionage law. What is there to steal in China? All of it is stolen from elsewhere?!??

  2. When all small businesses are closed, then commercial revenue and local trade collapses and so does tax revenue. Then, the local government bureaucrats are sacked or remain unpaid. Their predatory attitudes now only speed this process. The city becomes a wasteland as people leave it for greener pastures.
