  1. Not only Xi untrained and empty-headed about economics, he is also ineffective in decision-making in the hierarchy he's created, I.e. the system around Xi does not properly function. Hence Xi is isolated in decision managing as well as his Mao-like ignorance of the economy. This economic shock in China remains unresolved to the short to medium term. In addition, Western economic elites who largely benefitted from the economic rise of China, starting in the 1980s have now divested themselves of China investments or holding tight for a miraculous change in China's fortune, which probably will not come the way they like or expect in the long-term. Hence, Western countries are also bound up in the fortunes of China, and the Western media (who largely ignore China, for several reasons) are themselves part of the problem of the hype, ignorance and naive transmission of CCP propaganda throughout the West.
