Now this process is massively accelerated by the pandemic and the subsequent Omicron Covid lockdowns across China, leaving no time for any adjustments or remedial economic policies. This emphasizes that the CCP faction in power (the Xi faction) cares little for medium to long-term effects in the China economy, although the rising spectre of Venuzula-sytle stagflation and massive unemployment thus resulting will shake the power base of the CCP, or perhaps even unseat it as the single party totalitarian power, leading to a power struggle & likely civil war across China.
