  1. If this is the first tier city in China, furthermore a city with a long tradition of foreign trade, one of the wealthiest cities in China, then elsewhere must be very bad indeed. Don't even consider second tier cities in China etc. They must be in a parlous state. Outside China, things are not exactly rolling on a peak, but certaintly not as bad. Most foreigners were not spies, but are leaving because they cannot safely even do normal open business in China because of broad sweeping anti-espionage laws. The CCP kicks it's own goal yet again.
