  1. 40% time wasted in totalitarian indoctrination is time wasted in otherwise improving the training of the soldier, sailor or airman. This intensive indoctrination indicates the weakness of the ideology, not it's strength.

  2. I think US officers have to complete a degree in law, science, engineering or medicine before they are allowed a commission. Often this degree is offered to graduates from military colleges, such as West Point.
